Orlando International Airport Plans New South Terminal to Handle Passenger Growth

The Orlando International Airport (MCO) has received spending approval from the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority Board to begin construction of a new South Terminal Complex. Renowned airport architect Curtis Fentress is handling the project. Fentress created the Denver International Airport and Incheon International in South Korea, considered two of the best-designed airports in the world.

The $1.8 billion south terminal is expected to be completed by 2019, and will feature a sleek outside design, and an interior that represents aspects of Central Florida: light, water and the state’s unique foliage.  The project will feature an area known as The Boulevard, which will be a corridor running the length of the terminal and connecting to ground…

Airport Options for Travelers who Fly to Orlando

Visitors who fly to Orlando from outside the United States typically arrive via Orlando International Airport. But it’s not the only Orlando airport to serve international travelers. Orlando Sanford International Airport offers nonstop service to over 60 markets worldwide.

Orlando Sanford is located midway between Orlando’s major attractions and the world’s most famous beach – Daytona Beach. The airport was recognized in 2014 as the fastest growing in the U.S. for airports that handle between 2 million and 5 million passengers.
